Things To Do In Perth Australia

Hi Everyone!,

I live in Perth, Western Australia and if you are considering coming here on vacation or even moving here, below are a list of things that I recommend for you to do and see:

Beaches

Perth has some of the best beaches in the world, the stunning coast line of the Indian Ocean is second to none and I would recommend this as one of the first things to do.
For all you surf and beach lovers, Cottlesloe beach and Scarborough beach are very popular with surfing, snorkeling and swimming.  If your like me, and do not like to get your hair wet then there are plenty of cafes to enjoy a coffee whilst taking in the view.

Floreat and City beach are popular with fishing and body boarding.  The beaches are about 15 - 20mins from the city and easily accessed via public transport.  One of the best times to visit the beach as well is in late afternoon / early evening and watch one of the gorgeous sunsets.

Sight Seeing

A great way to see Perth city is with an open top bus tour - this tour will take you through the city stopping at some of Perth's top attractions including the WACA cricket ground, Bell Tower and the Perth Mint where they make the gold.

If you are partical to a glass of wine, then a Captain Cook Cruise is just for you, you can choose between a half day or full day cruise on the Swan River, taking in some great views of Perth whilst enjoying a glass of Western Australian wine.

Bars and Restaurants

Perth has some great bars & restaurants that you can visit.  If you are a pub person then JB O'Reilly's Irish bar situated on Cambridge Street is just for you, apparently this bar sells more pints of Guinness then anywhere else in Australia.  The food is also very good, with hearty pub meals on the menu of fish & chips, beef & guinness pie and curry just to name a few.  There is great atmosphere and a good time is had by all.

Little Creatures Brewery in Fremantle is one of my favourite places to go, the food is yummy and I recommend the wood fired pizza washed down with a pint of beer which is made on the premises.  Little Creatures also has a great atmosphere and is set inside a massive converted boat shed.
